Ethics & Supply Chain

Margot Design is committed to continually developing and improving its approach to sustainability and ethical practice. We recognise our responsibility to people and planet and seek to make considered decisions throughout our design, production and supply chain.

Our collections are designed in Sydney and produced in partnership with manufacturers and printers in Portugal who share our values of quality, care and responsible production. Our production partners invest in technology and processes designed to improve efficiency, reduce waste and support more sustainable textile production.

Where applicable, certified materials and processes are used, including GRS (Global Recycled Standard) and RCS (Recycled Claim Standard) certified recycled fibres. Our production partners also work within recognised environmental and social management frameworks, including responsible resource use, waste separation and recycling, and monitoring of energy and water consumption.

Digital printing enables Margot Design to produce in smaller quantities and, where possible, to order rather than maintain large volumes of finished stock. This approach allows designs to be developed and tested without committing to unnecessary production, helping to minimise surplus and material waste.

We believe thoughtful design, considered production and transparency are essential to creating products with lasting value and a more responsible approach to fashion and textiles.
